1. Who We Are
Momentum Career Hub (“Momentum,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a brand operated by Carbon Three Inc, a Michigan corporation with a business mailing address at 1950 S Rochester Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48307. We provide career coaching, Career Service & Coaching Packages, Group Cohort Programs / Accelerators, online and live courses, workshops, webinars, Resume and LinkedIn Makeovers, Application Kits, Interview Prep Kits, digital downloads, and memberships (The Momentum Collective on Skool and A Career Coach in Your Pocket on Substack) to job seekers.
For purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), Carbon Three Inc, d/b/a Momentum Career Hub, is the data controller of personal information collected through www.momentumcareerhub.com and site.momentumcareerhub.com (together, the “Site”). For California residents, we are a “business” under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”).
This Policy covers personal information we collect through the Site and offline, including information you provide by phone or email. By using the Site or purchasing our Services, you agree that your information will be handled as described in this Policy and in our Cookie Policy and Terms & Conditions, incorporated here by reference.
2. Personal Information We Collect
Account and contact data: name, email address, phone number, billing address, username and password.
Purchase and payment data: products or Services purchased, order history, and payment confirmation. Card and bank details are processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe (and, where applicable, Apple Pay, Venmo, or PayPal); we do not store your full card or bank account numbers.
Course and coaching data: enrollment, progress, attendance at live sessions and webinars, homework and submissions, and information you share with us during coaching sessions.
Marketing data: your communication preferences, email engagement, and whether you have downloaded a free resource, tracked through our marketing CRM, HubSpot.
Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and usage data collected via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
Content you provide: questions, testimonials, community posts (including on Skool and Substack), and survey responses.
Social media data: if you interact with us on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, or similar platforms, we may access publicly available information such as your name, username, profile photo, and other information you have made public. You can limit this by adjusting your privacy settings on that platform.
3. How and Why We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to: create and administer your account and purchases; deliver the Services you request or purchase; process payments and refunds; communicate with you about your account, sessions, purchases, programs, and services; send newsletters, job alerts, resources, offers, and other marketing communications where permitted by law; introduce you to related services or brands operated by Carbon Three Inc where permitted by law; personalize and improve the Site and our Services; compile aggregate statistics; request feedback; troubleshoot issues and resolve disputes; prevent fraud; and comply with legal obligations.
Our lawful bases for these uses, where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, are:
Consent — where consent is required, including certain direct marketing communications, non-essential cookies, and testimonials.
Performance of a contract — to deliver the coaching, courses, or other Services you purchase, and to process payment.
Legal obligation — for example, tax and accounting record-keeping.
Legitimate interests — for Site security, fraud prevention, service improvement, business analytics, and limited communications about related Carbon Three Inc services where permitted by law and balanced against your rights and interests.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information with service providers who help us operate the business, under contracts requiring appropriate data protection, including:
Stripe, our payment processor, to process payments made by credit card, Apple Pay, Venmo, PayPal, or ACH.
HubSpot, our marketing CRM, to manage email communications and marketing.
Skool and Substack, to operate our memberships.
Scheduling, video/webinar, and hosting providers used to deliver coaching sessions, workshops, and webinars.
We may also share information with professional advisers and government authorities where required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, subject to confidentiality. Carbon Three Inc may use information across its related brands, including Momentum Career Hub and Carbon 3 Recruiting, for administration, customer service, recordkeeping, and limited cross-brand introductions or communications where permitted by law. Signing up for one brand does not automatically enroll you in recurring marketing from another brand where separate consent is required. We do not sell personal information for money. If our use of analytics or advertising technologies constitutes a “sale” or “share” under applicable privacy law, we will provide the required notice and opt-out rights.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (pixels, tags, local storage) to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used. Full details, including the categories of cookies we use and your choices, are set out in our Cookie Policy.
6. User Submissions and Testimonials
If you post content on the Site or in our community spaces (a “User Submission”), including comments, reviews, or testimonials, that content is handled as described in our Terms & Conditions. We separately obtain your express written consent before using any testimonial, name, or likeness in marketing materials. We do not guarantee confidentiality for User Submissions that are intended to be shared publicly.
7. Email Marketing and Free Downloads
When you request a free download, toolkit, newsletter, Job Drop, or other resource, or otherwise opt in, we may add you to the applicable mailing list. We may also send limited communications introducing other Carbon Three Inc brands or services where permitted by law. Recurring marketing communications will be sent in accordance with applicable law, and every marketing email will provide an unsubscribe or opt-out method. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect access to products or Services you have already purchased.
8. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries. For personal information transferred from the EU or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards, which may include Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and/or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) where our vendors are certified participants.
9. How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain account and purchase records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Coaching notes are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to deliver and support your Services. Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe or after a period of prolonged inactivity. We will delete or anonymize personal information when it is no longer needed for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
10. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including SSL encryption on our Site and reputable third-party vendors that follow generally accepted security practices. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected individuals and any required regulators in the timeframe required by applicable law.
Given the nature and scale of our data processing, we do not process special-category (sensitive) data on a large scale, and our core activities do not involve regular or systematic monitoring of individuals. On that basis, we have determined that appointing a Data Protection Officer is not currently required under GDPR. We will revisit this determination if our data processing activities change.
11. Your Privacy Rights
11.1 EU and UK Residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are located in the EU or UK, you have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct (rectify) inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
Request erasure of your personal information (“right to be forgotten”), subject to legal exceptions.
Restrict or object to our processing of your personal information, including for direct marketing.
Receive your personal information in a portable format (data portability).
Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK, or your local data protection authority in the EU.
11.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion of your personal information; to correct inaccurate personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not currently sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA); to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.
11.3 Other U.S. Residents
Depending on your state of residence, you may have similar privacy rights under other state privacy laws. Contact us using the information in Section 15 and we will address your request in accordance with applicable law.
11.4 How to Exercise Your Rights

12. Children's Privacy
Our Services are intended for adults seeking career support. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site or purchase our Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly market to children. If we learn that we have unknowingly collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete that information promptly. 13. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal or Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal. Because we do not currently sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA, Do Not Track signals do not currently change how we process your information; where legally required, we will honor GPC signals as an opt-out of sale/sharing.
14. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites that are not owned or controlled by Momentum Career Hub. This Policy does not apply to those third-party sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every website you visit.

16. CAN-SPAM Compliance
In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, we allow recipients to unsubscribe using a link at the bottom of every marketing email, honor opt-out requests promptly, do not use false or misleading sender information or subject lines, identify advertisements as such, and include our physical business address in marketing emails.
17. California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)
In compliance with CalOPPA, you may visit the Site anonymously, and a link to this Privacy Policy is available on our homepage and other significant entry pages. Any material changes to this Policy will be reflected in an updated “Last Updated” date.
18. Jurisdiction and Applicable Law
Our servers and business are located in the United States. Matters relating to the Site and this Policy are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Michigan, in addition to the GDPR and UK GDPR as they apply to residents of the EU and UK, and the CCPA as it applies to California residents.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new “Last Updated” date, and material changes will be highlighted where required by law.
